Iranian-American Visual Artist, Manya Meigani, Takes Center Stage in Historic Lunaprise Museum on the Moon with “Woman Life Freedom” on 02.22.24

Miami, February 23, 2024 – Celebrated Iranian-American visual crypto artist and thought leader, Moni Meigani, has made history as the exclusive representative of Iranian woman in the groundbreaking Lunaprise Museum on the Moon. Meigani’s exceptional project, “Woman Life Freedom,” was sent to the moon on spacecraft  February 15th, 2024, at 1.05 am from Cape Canaveral as part of the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program and made landing on the moon’s south pole on Thursday02, 23, 2024 on, the first U.S. touchdown on the lunar surface in more than half a century and the first ever achieved by the private sector.

The Lunaprise crypto SDG initiatives was, curated by Bitbasel and Space Blue , and it marks the inception of the first-ever art museum on the moon surface.

The Luner Museum contains 22 SDG artists selected to be part of the world development goals SDG crypto Art Challenge curated by Bitbasel.  The topic of “Gender Equity” SDG #5 was designed by Moni Meigani for “Woman Life Freedom” to create impact and bring awareness for the cause and importance of woman’s life and equity without gender discriminations. The Lunaprise mission involves taking music and art projects to the moon as digital twins of artwork on Earth, where they will be archived for 1+ billion years in vaults on the moon. This project is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program, selected to deliver payloads ahead of the first Artemis missions to land on the moon.

“Woman Life Freedom” illustration designed by Moni Meigani is a symbol of woman’s power to climb high and to be able to achieve higher goals in life without any gender discrimination or religious boundaries in today’s world and for the future.  

The Lunaprise Museum features a small Nanofiche disk which is attached to the lander, named Odysseus resting on the moon and displaying artworks from more than 222  global artists, digitally preserved on the moon for over 1 billion years. The mission aims to create a cosmic archive of Earth’s art and music, a testament to humanity’s creativity and cultural diversity.
