“Sex And the City” fans will surely flock to see Carrie Bradshaw’s taxidermied bird hat as the infamous prop will soon go under the hammer at Sotheby’s.
Sarah Jessica Parker, 58, sported the eccentric accessory twice for the “SATC” franchise: once in the 2008 film when Mr. Big left Carrie at their wedding altar, and again in an episode of “And Just Like That” in which Carrie donned it for her eccentric Met Gala look.
The headpiece, designed in the 1800s with preserved parts from the endangered Bird of Paradise, will be auctioned off as part of Sotheby’s inaugural Fashion Icons sale with bidding starting on Aug. 31 and ending Sept. 14.
Sotheby’s website estimates the hat to be worth $40,000 to $70,000.
The Post has contacted Sotheby’s for comment.
Parker reminisced about the prop in a video for Vogue last year.
“This bird, I saw it and thought it was magnificent,” she told the outlet. “What was so crazy to me about this were the colors. The colors are, especially in person, like, you can’t tell.”
Parker added that she and the “SATC” wardrobe team were obsessed with the bird but didn’t think it’d be approved by the showrunner Michael Patrick King. She recalled ambushing him by boldly arriving on set with it already placed on her head.
“And when I came to the set, he was like, ‘Why is there a bird on your head?’ And I was like, ‘Look at the bird. You would’ve made the same decision.’” she recalled. “Of course, you know he argued against, and he wins a lot, for good reason … but we won.”
Other high-fashion items up for auction include Princess Diana’s black sheep sweater, the Alexander McQueen for Givenchy gown Kate Winslet wore to the 1998 Oscars, a vintage Norman Norell dress worn by Michelle Obama, and a vintage veil by blessed upon the head of Madonna.
