Syracuse soccer coach Fran Brown has an unorthodox ritual for when his workforce doesn’t win a recreation.
In a quite weird disclose to reporters throughout his Monday press convention, Brown detailed how he doesn’t bathe till the subsequent day after the Orange lose as a result of he feels he “doesn’t deserve the soap.”

I just be mad, brush my teeth. It’s like, ‘I don’t deserve soap. I don’t deserve to do all that.’ I’m just focused on trying to get back and try to make sure that our players mentally understand that I let them down. They didn’t do it. I just wake up all night. Especially when we lose. I wake up like damn, that really happened that way. And then I just move on.”
The Syracuse coach continued his trustworthy clarification of his ritual and later revealed that as a result of he doesn’t bathe after a loss it means he can’t sleep in the identical mattress as his spouse.
“I’m just mad. I just sit there and brush my teeth,” Brown continued. “That’s what I feel I have to do so y’all won’t say my breath stinks. But I’m just kind of locked in on certain things in certain ways. You gotta earn the right to do certain things. So winners get washed and losers just have to wait a little bit.”
Brown is in his first 12 months as head coach of the Orange and has coached the workforce to a 6-3 total file.
Syracuse will journey to California subsequent week earlier than wrapping up the season at house with video games towards UConn and Miami.
