Disturbing new video exhibits the horrific second a barge crashed right into a sailboat off the coast of Florida, killing two younger women and critically injuring two others.
Surveillance footage shared by NBC Miami exhibits the barge slamming into the sailboat that was carrying a 19-year-old teacher and 5 children as a part of a crusing summer time camp on Biscayne Bay close to Miami Seaside on Monday.
“All the kids went flying off,” witness Enzo Piffartti, who was attending a close-by crusing camp, informed NBC 6.
“Two were found really quickly and three of them had to go to the hospital.”
Two women, ages 7 and 13, died from their accidents whereas an additional two ages 8 and 11 have been critically injured, officers stated. The teenage teacher and a 12-year-old woman have been unhurt. They have been all a part of a Miami Youth Crusing Basis summer time camp.

The names of the victims haven’t but been launched and the crash is being investigated by the Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee.
“Our hearts are with the families of those lost and all who have been affected by this tragedy,” Captain Frank Florio, Commander of Coast Guard Sector Miami, stated in a press release on Monday.
“Incidents like this leave a lasting impact on our maritime community and reinforce the importance of learning from every loss. The Coast Guard will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the causal factors and identify steps to help prevent similar tragedies in the future,” he stated.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to accountability, improvement, and the shared responsibility of ensuring safety at sea.”
