Ralph Lauren Company (NYSE: RL) introduced that, as a part of its Board of Administrators evolution technique, it has accepted the appointment of Angela Ahrendts as new Lead Unbiased Director following the Firm’s 2025 Annual Assembly of Shareholders. Ahrendts has served on the Ralph Lauren Board since August 2018 and is at present the Finance Committee chair and a member of the Nominating, Governance, and Sustainability Committee.
Ahrendts succeeds Hubert Joly, who, after 16 years of service, won’t search reelection to the Firm’s Board of Administrators. Joly was appointed to the Ralph Lauren Board in June 2009 and has served as Lead Unbiased Director since 2021. He at present sits on the Expertise, Tradition & Complete Rewards and Finance Committees. Joly performed a key position within the Board’s evolution, leading to its broadened variety of backgrounds, abilities and experiences.
Ralph Lauren Company has named Angela Ahrendts as lead impartial director, efficient after the 2025 Annual Assembly on July 31.
She succeeds Hubert Joly, who will retire after 16 years on the board.
Ahrendts, a director since 2018, chairs the Finance Committee and is recognised for her business innovation and management.
The board will comprise 11 administrators post-transition.
“Hubert has been an integral part of our board and has been instrumental in guiding and supporting our strategy, while embodying the passion and dedication that define our brand. We are grateful for his unwavering support and thoughtful leadership as well as the care he has shown for our Company and our teams,” stated Ralph Lauren, Government Chairman and Chief Inventive Officer.
“Angela has consistently offered valuable guidance and brought her perspective as a respected innovator in the industry. We look forward to continuing to benefit from her leadership and contributions as our new Lead Independent Director,” Ralph Lauren added.
“We are proud to have a Board comprised of deep, unique and differentiated experiences, all of which continue to contribute to our strength and durability as a business. I am grateful for Hubert’s guidance over the years, particularly in helping drive our Company’s performance and transformation and I look forward to working closely with Angela in her expanded role,” stated Patrice Louvet, President & Chief Government Officer.
With Mr. Joly’s departure, the Ralph Lauren board will probably be comprised of 11 administrators. Ms. Ahrendts’s appointment as the brand new Lead Unbiased Director will probably be efficient following her re-election as a director on the 2025 Annual Assembly of Shareholders, happening on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
