With the Titans deciding on quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 general decide within the 2025 NFL Draft, it’s presumed that the Miami standout shall be beginning come Week 1, leaving Nevis on the sidelines.
Levis, 25, spoke on the Titans’ present quarterback scenario throughout his first media session because the group drafted Ward, saying that “it sucks” to be in his place.
“Anyone who’s every been in my situation would agree that it sucks. I’m just trying to do the best I can to not let it affect me and just being the same dude every day in the building and being there for the guys however I can and just trying to get better every day,” Levis instructed reporters Wednesday.
The Titans’ 2023 second-round draft decide threw for two,091 passing yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions final season.
Levis, who led Tennessee to only two wins in 2024 and bought benched halfway by the season, stated he has discovered loads from his struggles.
“I’ll never forget it. I’m grateful for it. I look back at that year and I feel like I got absolutely everything thrown at me. Throughout this offseason, Levis spent a big period of time refining his mechanics with former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer, and he famous that it helped him.
“The last six weeks have been fun getting back here with the guys. I went out and trained on my own out in California. That was a lot of fun. That was about seven weeks,” Levis stated. “Then, I spent a while with household and took time to get pleasure from the remainder of my life exterior of soccer.
“It was a lot of just relearning my stroke, relearning my body and trying to get back to the basics of that. I feel like it’s really paid off. I’ve been feeling good the last few weeks.”
