The tribe has spoken in opposition to Star Toomey — however now she’s talking again.
The “Survivor” Season 48 contestant addressed her exit from the sport in an unique interview with The Put up, together with how her former tribemates Eva Erickson and Joe Hunter constantly focused her.
Toomey, 28, revealed that she doesn’t remorse giving Erickson, 24, her Hidden Immunity Idol earlier within the season — however she did hope the choice would result in a distinct end result.
“I thought at least that would have solidified a better relationship for me and her,” Toomey instructed The Put up. “I thought at that point that would be the olive branch, or that would be what she needed to say, like, ‘Yo, I’m not I’m not your enemy.’ But as we watch every episode, she’s saying my name every time.”
“And I don’t understand why, because I’m like, ‘Girl, I thought we was cool. Can you keep my name out your mouth? You’re bringing too much attention,’” Toomey continued. “Every time, I’m like, ‘Girl, why you keep saying my name? I just gave you this idol.’ Maybe at that point I would hope that she would have played it for me or maybe been like, ‘Hey girl Thank you. I appreciate you. Here it is. Here’s it back. I think it might be you. Here’s your idol.’”
Toomey joked that Erickson had her “foot on the neck” all season, and responded to the opposite castaways saying she was “chaotic” on the island.
“A lot of the people are saying I’m all over the place. And I’m watching, I’m like, ‘I’m not. You guys are all over place. Y’all are chaotic. Y’all are paranoid. Y’all are the ones creating the problems,’” she mentioned.
Toomey additionally instructed The Put up she was stunned to see Hunter name her his “Kryptonite” on final evening’s episode.
“In my mind, no one knows it but Joe wanted to work with me,” she shared. “I don’t know when he wanted to work with me first versus when him and Eva had that moment on their walk and they decided that they would work together. I don’t know. But in my mind he came to me day one. So at that point, I’m thinking we’re locked in.”
However Toomey mentioned that after they reached the merge, Hunter didn’t present her any loyalty in return.
“I really don’t know why he called me his Kryptonite. The more I’m watching, he is giving Superman versus the Joker,” she joked. “He’s the Joker just keep on trying to set me up, blow me up. And I’m Superman just trying to dodge, dodge, dodge every attack against me.”
Throughout her closing episode, Toomey tried to prepare a “revolution” in opposition to Erickson and Hunter’s majority alliance. However after Hunter gained immunity, Toomey and the opposite folks on the outs focused one another, as a substitute of Erickson.
“I went to Kamilla [Karthigesu] and I went to Mitch [Guerra]. I said, ‘Would you do Eva?’” Toomey recalled. “I don’t know what was said behind the scenes after I said, ‘Would you do Eva?’ Because I told Mary [Zheng] that, and then next thing I know, Mary’s like, ‘It’s between me and you.’”
“I’m watching Mitch, and he’s like, ‘I’ll have to think about it.’ And we already know in ‘Survivor,’ it’s either yes or no,” Toomey defined. “Anybody that tells you ‘I have to think about it,’ the answer is no. The answer is, ‘poor thing, bless your heart, get out of my face.’ And that’s exactly what he was saying to me.”
“Survivor” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
