Patrick Reed’s wife may have outed herself as infamous Twitter user

Golf Twitter is buzzing about Patrick Reed’s wife, Justine Karain.

Some internet sleuths believe Karain may have outed herself as the master behind the infamous @useGolfFACTS Twitter account after it replied to a message about the 2018 Masters champion attending the Collingwood-St Kilda AFL game in Australia on Sunday.

Tron Schuster, also known as Tron Carter on Twitter, of the “No Laying Up” podcast shared a photo of Reed sitting at the Australian rules football game sporting a 4Aces hat, representing his LIV Golf team.

“P taking in the Collingwood / St Kilda AFL game on Sunday, repping The Aces of course,” Carter wrote.

“Have to wonder if @useGolfFACTS didn’t attend due to the quality of the seats provided!”

Carter was seemingly referring to the seat debacle at a Boston Red Sox game in 2018, when Reed blasted the PGA Tour for giving him and his wife free tickets to the game in Fenway’s “line drive section.”

In the early hours of Monday morning, the @useGolfFACTS Twitter replied to Carter’s message with a photo of Reed at the AFL game, where he was pictured sitting in a private suite with teammate Dustin Johnson and others.

“These look like nice seats to me!” the account wrote in its reply.

Some people were quick to speculate if Reed and his wife are behind the tweet, as it’s been reported that the couple or their family may be affiliated with the Twitter account.

It has not been confirmed that the Twitter account belongs to Reed and his wife.

In 2021, Reed raised eyebrows with a tweet that paralleled a message from the @useGolfFACTS Twitter following the pro’s controversial drop during the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open.

Reed’s tweet, which came only seven minutes after the same message was posted by the @useGolfFACTS Twitter account read: “RORY MCILROY @McIlroyRory DID THE SAME THING TODAY ON HOLE 18! AND DIDN’T EVEN CALL A RULES OFFICIAL OVER TO DEEM THE BALL EMBEDDED. END OF STORY.”

Golf Digest reported at the time that the replies on the @useGolfFACTS Twitter account showed tweets defending Reed from various allegations throughout his career — and other messages criticizing his then-fellow PGA Tour competitors, including Justin Thomas.

At the time, Reed’s lawyer, Phillip B. Costa, denied that his client’s social media accounts are associated with the admin of the @useGolfFACTS Twitter account.

“Please be advised that the person who manages Patrick Reed’s Twitter and Instagram accounts does not run the @ use GolfFACTS account,” Costa told the outlet in October 2021.
