The girlfriend of Packers rookie linebacker Lukas Van Ness summed up the couple’s first year of dating in one word: “best.”
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Frankie Kmet — the sister of Bears tight end Cole Kmet — posted a heartfelt tribute to the former Iowa product, who was drafted by Green Bay last month.
“I love us <3 Best year ever,” Kmet gushed on Instagram.
“You complete me!! You will always be my favorite person.”
The 21-year-old Van Ness honored Kmet in a separate social media tribute, calling her his “partner in crime.”
“My partner in crime. My best friend. Can’t believe its been 365 days with you. Looking forward to many more. I love you Frankie. Happy 1 year,” he wrote on Instagram.
The past few weeks have been filled with milestones for Kmet and Van Ness.
Upon being selected by the Packers with the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Van Ness celebrated at home with Kmet and his loved ones.
The emotional scene was captured on ESPN, with social media expressing confusion over the ladies in his life.
“Lukas van ness two girlfriends … alright,” one user tweeted.
Another viewer wrote, “Does Lukas Van Ness have 3 girlfriends??”
Days after the NFL draft, Kmet reflected on the wild night as she celebrated Van Ness becoming a Packer.
“My boy a Packer. Congrats @lukas_vanness you deserve it all, I love you,” she shared on Instagram.
Game days are going to be interesting for the Kmet family going forward as the Packers-Bears rivalry is one the NFL’s feistiest.
Green Bay will open the season in Chicago on Sunday, Sept. 10, before hosting the Bears at Lambeau Field in Week 18.
