A brute sucker-slapped a 9-year-old lady within the face on a Queens avenue and bit the fingertip off an off-duty cop who stepped in to assist after the mindless assault earlier this month, officers stated.
Feliz Enrique, 31, walked as much as the unsuspecting teen as she was enjoying on a Glendale avenue, requested her identify, then smacked her within the face with none warning, Queens DA Melissa Katz alleged in a launch Thursday.
The kid fell to the bottom after the blow and was handled at a hospital after struggling “bruising to her arm and back, bleeding to her lip and arm, loose teeth as well as substantial pain,” the discharge stated.
Video confirmed the unconscionable assault allegedly carried out by the Ridgewood resident the day earlier than Mom’s Day, based on ABC7.
Off-duty NYPD Sgt. Sebastian Hajder noticed the brazen daylight assault and sprang into motion.
“A sergeant who was off-duty at the time did what good Samaritans do, but also did what good police officers do, is he followed the person, he approached him,” Katz instructed the outlet.
“As the off-duty officer struggled to detain him, Feliz Enrique bit the sergeant on his knee and hand, causing permanent disfigurement to the sergeant’s finger,” Katz stated in her launch.
Hajder’s fingertip couldn’t be reattached regardless of receiving immediate medical consideration, the assertion added.
Enrique was arraigned Wednesday on expenses of assault within the first, second and third diploma, endangering the welfare of a kid and harassment within the second diploma.
On the time of the assault, he was on parole after spending seven years in jail for tried homicide, ABC reported.
Enrique faces as much as 25 years in jail if convicted. He’s subsequent due in courtroom on July 10.
