All flights out of Newark Airport seemed to be cancelled or extraordinarily delayed on Sunday, successfully shutting down the airport for hours.
The delays have been brought on by thunderstorms, in response to the Federal Aviation Administration, however the day was sunny with clear skies into the night.
Stranded vacationers took to social media to complain in regards to the sudden delay, with many blaming President Trump’s presence within the space to attend the FIFA World Cub ultimate match in East Rutherford, N.J.
The president’s official schedule listed him as attending the World Cup from between 2:30 p.m. till 7:25 p.m. when he was slated to depart and head again to the White Home.
Flights at Newark Airport began being impacted round 3:15 p.m., with delays anticipated to final till the early morning hours, in response to the FAA.
