One thing that turned apparent when Lou Lamoriello was basic supervisor of the Islanders was that, as little as he gave away in public, Lamoriello by no means misled or outright lied in what he did say.
“We believe in the group,” a phrase Lamoriello repeated so usually that it turned a meme amongst Islanders followers, might need been a misguided philosophy.
However when he stated it, Lamoriello was telling absolutely the fact.
There’s no motive to assume something completely different of the primary large declarative assertion of Mathieu Darche’s tenure as basic supervisor of the Islanders: “I expect us to make the [first overall] pick at the end of the month.”
