“Frasier” star David Hyde Pierce allegedly referred to as out his “Wet Hot American Summer” co-stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler for ingesting and being too loud earlier than his first day of filming the 2001 film.

“Yeah, it was his first day,” Rudd replied. “We were all dumb kids, [we] just wanted to have a blast.”

“But, reminder, we were not kids. We were in our 30s,” Poehler clarified.
“You were [in your] late 20s, I think I was 30,” Rudd stated.
Pierce was scheduled to work afterward set later within the day.
“We were all like, ‘What is this guy gonna think?’” Rudd stated.
When the four-time Emmy-winning actor arrived on set, Poehler assumed he was “probably rehearsing” his traces in his room close to their nightly hangout spot as they obtained sloshed.
“It was his first night; none of us knew him, and it was like 1 in the morning, and it’s so loud. He’s filming the next morning, and he’s been in his room” Rudd stated.
“He’s a professional. I remember he came out and then stopped in the doorway, and we all — it was like the needle on the record. Stop. Everyone got quiet. We all looked and Ken Marino just goes, ‘Oh great, it’s Frasier.’ Do you remember that? And David Hyde Pierce is like, ‘What are you guys doing?’ Like, he was so fun and cool and it was just like ‘Oh, thank God.’”
“Yeah, he was the nicest, most loveliest guy but he definitely was like, ‘What’s happening here?” Poehler stated sternly. “And we were like, ‘Oh, none of us are working. We don’t have anything to shoot tomorrow.’”
Poehler admitted the forged “worked very little” on the movie.
