Mayor Adams gave his endorsement to a weekend golf course outing that includes two high metropolis officers and President Trump, saying he thinks his high deputy, Randy Mastro, ought to hit the hyperlinks as nicely.
“A lot of great deals have been made on the golf course, and I thank the two of them for doing it, and I would encourage anyone else that can have an opportunity to do so, to do so,” Adams mentioned of the assembly at a New Jersey golf course Sunday.

Adams mentioned that the meetup was “without a doubt” applicable, including that he hopes First Deputy Mayor Mastro performs golf with Trump as nicely.
“I would think having my [NYPD] chief of department, my deputy mayor of public safety, to have the two of them to be able to communicate with the president on the golf course and talk about things that are important to us,” Adams mentioned. “I’m sure they want to talk about themselves, you know. I’m sure they want to say, what can you do for me?”
The mayor’s feedback come amid criticism of Adams over his relationship with Trump within the wake of the Justice Division’s resolution to dismiss Adams’ corruption indictment.
The 2 officers posed for photographs with Trump, with Daughtry writing on Fb that it was a “fantastic afternoon.” Chell wrote on LinkedIn that there was “good conversation with a few laughs and a great lunch,” and that he put his spouse on the telephone with “the big guy.”
