A 5-year-old Georgia boy was by accident gunned down by his personal twin brother — and their mom is now dealing with homicide expenses for allegedly leaving her handgun loaded and unattended across the boys.
Jeremiah Emmanuel George Jr. was killed at his DeKalb County house Wednesday when his brother shot him with a handgun belonging to their mom, La’Necia Bennett, based on police.
The boys had been taking part in of their mom’s bed room after they discovered the gun stashed in a black purse in her nightstand, based on an arrest warrant for the 25-year-old mom obtained by 11Alive.
Little Jeremiah’s brother picked up the gun and by accident shot him within the chest.
An ambulance rushed to the scene, however Jeremiah couldn’t be saved and died on the household’s house.
“I just seen the ambulance go inside the apartment and they came out with a child and put him on a stretcher and started doing CPR,” a neighbor advised 11Alive.
“That could be my child, that could be anyone’s child,” they added.

Bennett was allegedly house on the time of the capturing, based on police.
She was arrested and is being held with out bond.
The mom faces quite a few expenses, together with second-degree homicide.
Though Bennet just isn’t suspected of pulling the set off herself, she faces the homicide cost as a result of the dying occurred whereas Jeremiah was beneath her care, cops mentioned.
“Police have determined, thus far, on the minimum of facts that they have, her watching him, not well enough for him to be shot by another child in the household and then he died — that’s why she’s charged with murder,” protection legal professional Kim Frye defined to 11Alive.
“It’s a murder charge based on the supervising adult’s negligence,” Frye added.
